“Hey I have Jeremy and Elena now not to mention Bonnie and Caroline so I’m pretty much set in the not lonely anymore department,” Jenna replied with a smile. “So how long are we going to keep this whole hush hush secret thing going anyway?”
Alaric looked at Jenna for a minute, trying to think of a reasonable answer. He wanted to tell her that he would do whatever she wanted, that was almost always the answer he gave her for everything anyways…But for some reason he was almost hesitant. Things were working so far, but he almost worried that the minute they started being more open, the minute everything would fall apart again. ‘I don’t know,’ he replied quietly, trying to think of something to veer the conversation. ‘Not that I don’t love showing you off. Trust me, I do.’
“I’m not going to be upset with whatever answer you give me,” Jenna replied looking up at him. “I was just wondering. I mean I’m hoping we’d be back out in the open when the baby comes but…” Her voice trailed off a little as she shrugged.
